Local Social Forums began appearing after the World and European Social Forums drew thousands of people from diverse political backgrounds together to discuss shared issues, be they the environment, globalisation, war or injustice. Local Social Forums also discuss these big issues, but also bring them into a local context- how will a governments policies actually affect your life.

There are LSFs appearing all over the country. This site exists to create a network to share ideas and resources between the groups and manage inter-group meetings.

Very soon you will be able to find a Social Forum near you and find out more about it online. If there isn't a social forum addressing your locality there will be resources here for starting one up yourself!
